The Anticrat

Ahh it’s that time of year again, where the shit-heels of humanity group-up and try to erase some utterly simplistic evil blue-eyed devils from secular history... Where men and women of intolerance put on full display their eagerness to marginalize all of humanity into groups... cataloging us all by our beliefs so that we are certain to not forget just how divided we all really are as a world...

These are history’s truest idiots... People so far removed from reality that they would ask me to celebrate religions where, in the year 2009, women are property at best... Religions who believe that only a life of abject poverty and rejections of the modern world will prevent you from coming back in your next life as a banana slug... Religions that have no actual factual basis for celebrating at this time of year, and by-the-way aren’t really even religions except for in the confines of tribal societies that don’t exist anymore... They even want to include druidic religious dogma that they conveniently forget requires human sacrifice to actually participate in...

No, they don’t want you to just celebrate the one that devised the idea of liberty of the individual... They don’t want you to bring the ONE religious philosophy that grew to reject its own primitive past... They don’t want you to feel particularly good about the one that eventually said to even itself that maybe it had been wrong and should correct itself... They don’t want to seem overly partial to the one that decided that the benefits of their god applied not just to them, but to the ones who don’t even believe the same thing, and to the ones who had heretofore been considered non-people...

They certainly don’t want you to acknowledge the religion that created the notion of a free and equal country where people were unlimited in potential, no matter what gender, color, background, religion, or baggage they may have left in the monarchies and dictatorships, tyrannies, and socialist utopias from which they fled...

They most certainly don’t want you celebrating the religion that created the very science that is abused in a worldwide attempt to annihilate that very religion now...

I am an atheist; I was a Buddhist for a time, a Christian, an Agnostic (AKA “Pussy”)... I even tried Scientology way back in my youth (it’s actually not so bad, as long as you don’t actually talk to the contacts in the books)...

But I celebrate Christmas, the time of the year where the most tolerant of the religious is celebrated, the time when a religion grew-up so much that it was willing to undermine itself to be inclusive of others... I celebrate that the people who bled and died, or risked even worse for my cozy fat-ass, believe that a god was incarnated as a man named Jesus on December 25th, and that that man even in the throes of a truly miserable death, forgave those who did the nailing...

I celebrate him, and that he spawned a belief that all human beings were granted freedom and individual rights on this earth, whether they believed in him or not, whether they liked him or not, whether they hated him, or not...

That is the Spirit of Christmas, the birth of a god-king from millennia ago, and more importantly, the birth of my freedom to say this without being nailed to wood and left to die as an example to the rest of what happens when you go against repressive forces that want you to only think in a compliant way...

There is only one way to be inclusive on Christmas... That is to , no matter WHAT you are or what you believe, shut the fuck up about how special you are, and consider that you are nothing but a meaningless drone in this world without this crazy religion, and this archaic god of Judeo-Christendom that convinced the founders of only one place on this earth, that you were free to be, in whatever way you choose...

Merry Christmas all...
