H.H. HOLMES AND ALL HIS FAIR LADIES

During the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago he killed a multitude of hapless guests and employees (mostly female) at his "hotel", which was actually a giant killing factory. Holmes had built the block long, 3 story "castle" with the help of a rapid succession of craftsmen with a two-fold purpose, avoiding payment and keeping the true blueprint of the property a secret.
